Randolph Amengual has been with the firm since 1976 and founded its real estate department in 1978.
Randy has over 40 years experience in representing domestic and foreign owners and developers in all aspects of the acquisition, sale, development, financing and leasing of commercial and residential real estate throughout the United States, including the negotiation of the terms and conditions of joint venture and partnership agreements. Among the transactions he has handled are office, hotel, residential and retail developments, land assemblages and transfers of development rights. He especially enjoys the challenge of structuring creative solutions to difficult issues that arise in the array of complex commercial transactions that he works on.
Randy has extensive experience representing both landlords and tenants in commercial leases and office leases, including the representation of a department store in leases throughout the United States. In addition to the foregoing, Randy has represented both ground lessors and ground lessees in long-term ground leases involving future development of raw land. Randy has also advised clients in connection with the rent resets based on fair market value for ground leases. Randy’s practice also includes representation of operators and hotels in food and beverage management and licensing agreements.
