Nicholas Arons joined the firm’s corporate department in 2017. His practice has been devoted to major Latin American family offices and executives from Latin America (primarily Brazil) with extensive holdings or operations in the United States. He has helped structure and implement the acquisition of closely-held businesses and assets, advised on cross-border joint ventures, finance deals, the purchase and registration of aircrafts and the execution of complex trusts for family succession purposes. He has also devoted time to supervising litigation for international clients, including complex commercial litigation, breach of contract, aviation, and white collar matters. He has served as outside general counsel for mid-size businesses and non-profit organizations including family foundations.
Nicholas has served as law clerk to the Hon. Rosemary S. Pooler, on the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals. He was a Fulbright Scholar in Brazil (2000) and Legal Advisor to the Palau Mission to the United Nations (2005).
